Matching Numbers SC Coupe with Kardex Porsche Certificate of Authenticity ** Purchased from it's owner in 1987 with 73K miles by the Concours Winning 'Karosserie Fabrik' Pro Porsche Specialists in Boulder Colorado and meticulously Restored using 1980 Porsche Diamond Silver, Black Leather Seating and rear Black Vinyl plus Black German 'squareweave' carpeting throughout. Done with the utmost care and the Best Available OEM Parts & Spares found as the Shop Owner's Personal Car for 22 years. The Body & total undercarriage has been stripped and primed ( 2 part epoxy) with no rust apparent. All seams cleaned caulked and re-primed, then sprayed with 'Wurth' Undercoating Products. Front Suspension rebushed w/ Bronze King & Link Kit (particular attention to proper shimming of "C" link to disc type spindles) , 4 new Discs and all Rubber replaced in 2010 around Windshield, rear glass, hood, doors threshholds to replace any cracking or shrinking original rubber. Over the Metallic Silver it has been finished with 'Sherwin Williams Ultra 7000' Base Clearcoat 1 to1. Current Engine Leakdown tests at 1-2% overall. It has been removed and resealed in 2010 with a new Viton crank, flywheel along with new transaxle boots, shifter seal, ballcup and bushing at the shifter + U-Joint. New seals at the rear axles. The Engine Compartment lining also replaced with the best possible OE type materials with new insulation. A new Stainless steel muffler has been installed with new "S' pipes. The Luggage rack on the back is an Original 'Leitz' German unit. 4 New 'Koni' shocks give it the kind of ride that makes it feel like it did when new. The clock and guages were sent out to Instrument re-builders in N. Hollywood and replaced and a new 12 Volt Disc Player with AM-FM OE looking Analog Custom Radio with a Bluetooth port plus new OE Speakers with chrome covers and a 12 Volt "cigarette lighter" plug in the dash installed. It has a new repro Tool Kit and Original Owner's Manual & new Cover. Rebuilt Solex Carbs, rebuilt Bosch Distrbutor, Tune-up and Oil change performed for optimal performance at Rocky mountain altitude with proper Venturi sizes. Estimates are upwards of $92,000. in restoration costs not including original vehicle purchase price. Much of the restoration documentation and paperwork is available. The Carquip tech specializing in 356 Porsches attests to its ride and driving characteristics as Concours Quality with the finish quality and details of the restoration as very correct and the body lines and gaps as original factory type spec with the body restored Beautiful Classic original Condition throughout.
